Spiced Lard is a cured meat obtained from the processing of heavy pork meat. It is obtained from selected cuts and meat from porks born and raised in Italy. In particular, it is obtained from finely ground back lard, flavored and seasoned with natural ingredients.
On the nose, the spiced lard lets you perceive the spices with which it is produced, especially pepper and cinnamon. In addition, a graceful and delicate final note of citrus is perceptible that enriches the slice. The taste, on the other hand, is sweet and extremely delicate. Also on the palate it is possible to perceive the aftertaste of the spices characteristic of the secret recipe that we have handed down for three generations and which are perfectly balanced in the mouth.
Furthermore, we guarantee the maximum authenticity of the product as our spiced Lard is lactose-free, gluten free, GMO-free and without milk proteins. Spiced Lard is a perfect cured meat for many types of recipes; in particular, it is highly appreciated and used as a delicate condiment, especially to flavor roasts. It is also excellent cut into thin slices placed on bread or hot croutons. In general, it is important that the accompaniment has a neutral taste, in this way it is possible to enhance the unique flavor of the spiced Lard.

Processing
The processing of the spiced Lard takes place according to the traditional processing of the master butchers, or as follows: – Six types of carefully selected different spices are used for its production. – The cut of meat is massaged by hand with the chosen spices, as tradition dictates. In this way the meat can absorb all the aromas and acquire the typical taste that characterizes it. – Finally, the spiced Lard is subjected to the drying phase. After that it is ready to taste.

Spiced Lard has an extremely interesting and characteristic quality, namely the possibility of gradually merging. This is due to the fact that it has several melting points. Depending on its composition, Spiced Lard melts when heated to a temperature between 30 and 40 degrees. However, already around 20 degrees it begins to soften. This ability makes it the perfect product for certain types of recipes such as hot bruschetta, as it can melt without completely liquefying and, therefore, can be easily absorbed by bread.
