PRESS RELEASE April, 15th 2020, Milan
The Milanese style aperitif with the delivery of Salumi Pasini back on the tables of the people of Milan (…and not only)
A new great opportunity for the many Milanese in quarantine (and for all those who wish not to lose their pre-dinner habits!) comes thanks to the aperitif kits designed by Salumi Pasini and available on the company’s e-commerce.
Zoom, Google’s Hangout Meets, Skype, Houseparty: online chat platforms have exploded in recent weeks, with unprecedented downloads worldwide. We use them for work, of course, but they have also become a tool for sharing and socializing, at a safe distance, everyone in their own homes.
And if until before the crisis they were sporadic appointments to see distant relatives, today they have become a new model of friendship management.
Pc, headphones, and aperitif on the coffee table: because if I do meet – even if virtual – it has to be, it has to have a semblance of normality at least in its enogastronomic part.
Created to satisfy this need are the aperitif kits designed by Salumi Pasini and available from today on the online shop of the company in Trezzano.
Cured meats and wines, to choose from five tasty proposals and to be delivered comfortably at home, so you can consume them during videochats with friends.
Daniela Pasini, head of communication and marketing, underlines the satisfaction for this new goal: “Like all Milanese, I miss the aperitif and the city sociality very much: I was impressed by the exponential increase of videochats that rediscover this sociality but in a completely different way. It seemed right to us to find a creative way to accompany these moments also from the point of view of the food taste, giving those who still want an aperitif the most practical tool to do so, staying at home”.
The options are many: for the strong flavours the box with the Spianata of Calabria and the Cirò tomato sauce, for the simple flavours the salami and red wine, for the refined ones the Granfiletto salami and the Marzemino wine or the “aperitif of taste” with the bresaola and sparkling wine. But also in a richer version, the Milanese style aperitif “L’è On gran Milan”, a kit created in collaboration with the Cantina Urbana with Campagnolo salami, taralli, olives and the emblematic red wine Tranatt from the Milanese cellar. The choice is vast and satisfies all the orphans of the Milanese rite for excellence, who can at last have the perfect setting at home to toast these strange floating days.
And in order to support the many people at home, the delivery costs within Italy – from the first week of quarantine until at least the end of May – are entirely covered by the company, a sign of the great attention paid to its customers in difficulty.

This idea marks a new step forward for the company, which underlines the great ability of Salumi Pasini to reinvent itself even in a moment of serious global uncertainty.
The great work carried out with determination over the last three years to create a high-performance e-commerce with all the contemporary tools, has had a decisive acceleration in the most complex moment in recent history and has given rise to an exponential growth in remote sales, which have been in the DNA of the company since its reorganization in 2014.
Indeed, it grows more than four times over the same period last year, an asset in which the third generation of the Trezzano family has invested heavily to allow its many admirers to have at home the cold cuts and products that are part of the company’s production proposal.
From the privileged observatory of e-commerce you can see a change in consumption in relation to the sales of individual products: within a customer’s order there is a greater variety than before. Sliced cold cuts are preferred, but there is a wide range of classic mortadella and hams to complement the range of renowned salami.
Great credit goes to the production, which has never stopped and indeed is working harder and harder to satisfy all requests, guaranteeing very high safety standards, to protect consumers and employees. But thanks are also due to the shipping partners, who are working assiduously even in these difficult times to guarantee punctual and fast delivery times: for example, the company is able to fulfill orders in Milan within 24 hours and in Rome in 24/48 hours.
Daniela Pasini, the company’s communications and marketing manager, remembers with satisfaction the start of this project, which is even more important for the company today: “Who knows what my grandfather would say if I told him that customers can order cold cuts from an APP on their mobile phone and have them home in a day? Class of 1915, when Angelo Pasini created the company, he had well in mind what he wanted to do: he wanted to produce the traditional cured meats coming from his territory. One of the fundamental things to produce them properly was “respecting the concept of time”. For him this concept was sacred: it meant the right time to do things, to tie a salami by hand, to massage a bresaola by hand before sending it to seasoning. Only in this way he could make a good and healthy product for his customers. From then to how the things are moving along, and is still happening, no one could never have imagined. The opportunity to bring our salami directly from mobile phones to customers’ homes has turned into a beautiful project. Nowadays we have the privilege to work with big players like Amazon, and we are very proud for how much the brand is appreciated from our online customer as much as it is from our offline clients. It means a lot to us knowing that we were able to address our grandfather’s values of tradition and high quality also through the new medias such as the social networks.
