SMAPP Spa has equipped itself with a special procedure for handling internal reports, which implements the legislative provisions of Legislative Decree No. 24 of March 10, 2023(Implementation of Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 23, 2019 on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law and laying down provisions regarding the protection of persons who report breaches of national laws) on the subject of “whistleblowing.”

Consistent with the contents of Legislative Decree No. 24/2023, SMAPP Spa’s whistleblower management system ensures the confidentiality of the data of the whistleblower (“whistleblower” – a person who reports violations on the above-mentioned issues of which he or she has become aware in a work context), while protecting him or her from retaliatory, unfair or discriminatory behavior.

On the other hand, the provisions of Legislative Decree No. 24/2023 do not apply to “objections, claims or demands related to an interest of a personal nature of the reporting person that pertain exclusively to his or her individual labor or public employment relationships, or inherent in his or her labor or public employment relationships with hierarchically subordinate figures.”
