TASTING RECOMMENDATIONS

Ribolla Gialla is a white grape variety, indigenous to the Colli Orientali del Friuli and symbolic of the area. It presents itself to the glass with a straw-yellow colour, accompanied by young and luminous greenish reflections. On the nose, the scents are fruity, with mineral and vegetable notes. In the mouth, it is soft, dry and elegantly sapid. Ribolla Gialla Zuc di Volpe DOC is an excellent aperitif wine, accompanied by a platter of mixed cold cuts and lightly matured cheeses. It is also excellent with white fish, shellfish and fried dishes. To enjoy it at its best, we recommend serving it in a goblet with a medium opening and at a temperature of 10°-12° C. Ribolla Gialla has a good natural acidity and is characterised by fresh aromas. In order to appreciate the fruity aromas better, we recommend drinking this wine young, otherwise, if left to age in the bottle, you will be able to grasp all the unique and evolutionary peculiarities of this grape variety.

WINERY AND VINEYARDS

For centuries, this vine has settled in the lands of the Friulian hills where, thanks to the mild and windy climate that characterises them, its grapes have been able to ripen perfectly. The grape variety is characterised by a typical fresh and citrus note, which is softened by rich and intense fruity aromas and a clear mineral trace. The Zuc di Volpe line is the result of Volpe Pasini's continuous quest to offer wines of the highest quality. The company's estate has very ancient origins dating back to the 17th century, and already at that time, the wines of the area were among the most recognised and renowned in the region. Today, the vineyards extend over approximately fifty hectares of land characterised by the surrounding presence of woods that contribute to a rich biodiversity and a cool, temperate climate. More specifically, the Zuc di Volpe vineyard is located in a sunny area with a south-westerly exposure.
