PRECOOKED COTECHINO
Precooked Cotechino is produced with 100% Italian pork meat, in particular lean parts, fatty parts and rind, which are first flavoured with salt, pepper and spices, and then stuffed into natural casings. Next, the Cotechino is hand-tied, to guarantee the right firmness, and placed in special aluminium bags to proceed with cooking in steam ovens, which lasts about 7 hours.
At this point, the Precooked Cotechino will be ready to taste in a maximum of 30 minutes! There are, in fact, various ways to finish cooking
- In a pan: simply place the Cotechino Precotto still in the bag in a saucepan full of cold water and cook for 30 minutes from the moment of boiling;
- In the microwave: after removing the precooked Cotechino from the aluminium bag, place it on a plate together with its jelly and cook at medium-high intensity (800W) for about 10 minutes, turning it halfway through cooking.
At this point, you can serve Precooked Cotechino and enjoyed it hot with a portion of Lentils!
LENTILS
La Valletta Lentils are produced in Umbria, on the Colfiorito plateau, which provides optimal conditions for the cultivation of this legume.
La Valletta Lentils are a product recognisable by its quality even to the naked eye: the shades of these seeds, ranging from red and yellow to green and brown, are an indication of their quality.
Lentils are also rich in protein and nutrients and are a viable option for bringing new dishes to the table due to their versatility. Since they do not require soaking, La Valletta Lentils will be ready in just 30 minutes, maintaining their firm texture without flaking.
Excellent for a variety of recipes, Lentils can be stewed with bay leaves and spices for a hot soup, with tomato sauce and bacon for a tasty dish, or they can be used to make vegetable soups, burgers and meatballs, or added to a salad or pasta to add a genuine, quality protein part.
